Nordic Education Programme: The Nordic Way – Think Beyond Interoperability!

The Nordic workshop will take place at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando on Monday, February 11.

Following the previous Nordic Community discussions at HIMSS18 in Las Vegas (March 2018) and at HIMSS Europe 18 and Health 2.0 in Sitges (May 2018), the Community will turn their focus to showcase their achievements at the HIMSS19 Global Conference & Exhibition, as well as deep dive into interoperability and cross border information exchange.

BUT – the discussion will be driven in a “Nordic Way”; shifting the focus from technical interoperability to the needs of real life: practical solutions, service concepts, business models, ALL for the benefit of the entire ecosystem with the Nordic patient at the core.

Nemours Children’s Hospital tour

Join an exclusive group of healthcare executives on a dedicated tour of the Nemours Children's Hospital for Children in Orlando. Having demonstrated the most sophisticated use of electronic health records and boasting the highest level of digital maturity of the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model, Nemours Children's Hospital is an exemplary site.

During the tour, learn how the entire Nemours Children's Health System, which has more than 90 states spread over six states, demonstrates an exceptional use of data-driven decision making with the prolific use of huddle boards showing up to date KPIs and trends for every department from critical care units to environmental services. The tour will focus on three specific areas:

  1. Nemours CareConnect, a new approach to telehealth that brings board-certified pediatricians into homes, schools and affiliated hospitals.
  2. The Clinical Logistics Center, housing a wall full of monitors that display steady streams of EMR data to a team of paramedics who scan for anything out of the ordinary and can immediately connect with care teams who are on the floor, closest to the patient. Nemours is increasingly using the data organized by the Clinical Logistics Center to identify children who may be at risk to have their condition worsen and intervene before there is any harm.
  3. The Nemours App, a new digital tool designed to help clinicians monitor patients health remotely, adhere to care plans, and communicate more effectively between visits. The app is currently being used to aide children with asthma and babies with cardiac conditions.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about Nemours Children's Health system’s commitment to treating the whole child through prevention, population health, and clinical care. The tour is available for health providers only. You may register your interest through the link below, but please note spaces are limited and your participation will be confirmed via email in due course.
